Thinking about cultural heritage through the repatriation and restitution of cultural objects

The objective of this article is to analyze the international scene of the discussion on the repatriation and restitution of cultural goods which were withdrawn from their territories of origin in different circumstances, especially during the colonial period. Through the analysis of some international and national cases, we seek to understand how the different nations and cultural institutions have dealt with matters relating to cultural heritage in times of decolonization.
