Abstract

This article focuses on the study of social complexity linked to local religiosity, specifically in the coastal population of Naiguatá, Vargas state, Venezuela. As a methodology of approach, giving the word to social actors becomes of utmost importance for the clarification of traditional cultural issues, from orality as production linked to local history and microhistory, bringing with it an interesting side in the framework cultural heritage of African, which becomes mestizo with the incursion of ethnic diversity, a consequence of the European colonizing invasion, all of which is observed from the contemporary perspectives of social actors on their local festivals.
