Abstract

The objective of this work is to assess the relationship between the institutional propaganda of the Superintendência de Desenvolvimento da Amazônia and the comercial advertising carried out about the Volkswagen agricultural enterprise in the Amazon, Companhia Vale do Rio Cristalino, and to explain how, during the Brazilian civil-military dictatorship, state agencies and private companies sought to foster in Brazilian society, under different inspirations, ideals such as “participation”, “development” “integration” and “patriotism”.
