Genocídio Cultural na Faixa de Gaza
A destruição do patrimônio cultural palestino como estratégia colonial do Estado etnocrático de Israel

A destruição intencional do patrimônio cultural palestino na Faixa de Gaza, provocada por ataques israelenses, a partir de outubro de 2023, constitui uma grave violação dos direitos humanos e do direito internacional humanitário, configurando crime de guerra e instrumento de genocídio cultural. Este artigo aborda o processo histórico de proteção de bens culturais em contextos de guerra, relacionando-o às recentes agressões israelenses contra o patrimônio material e imaterial palestino. A partir de documentos e tratados de instituições internacionais, que se encarregam da defesa do patrimônio cultural, bem como de relatórios de instituições que monitoram o genocídio na Faixa de Gaza, discute-se a destruição do patrimônio como parte de uma estratégia deliberada do Estado etnocrático israelense, para a deslegitimação cultural e histórica do povo palestino, buscando atingir seu direito à autodeterminação.
