Autêntico para quem?
A noção de autenticidade do patrimônio cultural na contemporaneidade

Nos últimos anos uma noção vem sendo continuamente discutida no âmbito da conservação do patrimônio cultural: autenticidade. Mesmo com os avanços alcançados, é latente a necessidade de aprofundamentos conceituais e operacionais. Nesses termos, este artigo se propõe a discutir a autenticidade na contemporaneidade na perspectiva de compreender os sentidos que vem sendo aplicada nas dimensões teórica e prática da conservação. Para tanto, o fará por meio do aporte de três distintas áreas do conhecimento que se debruçam sobre o tema: a teoria e crítica da arte, o turismo cultural e a teoria da conservação do patrimônio cultural. Com isso, pretende-se refletir sobre a autenticidade de modo a compreender suas diversas facetas, sentidos e, em especial, seu papel na teoria contemporânea da conservação. Valendo-se dessas distintas visões, foram obtidos subsídios para se identificar questões emergentes sobre a autenticidade que precisam ser consideradas ao empregá-la na prática da conservação do patrimônio cultural.
