Do patrimônio nacional ao patrimônio mundial
a elaboração e a permanência dos topos patrimoniais

Este artigo realiza uma análise comparativa entre as categorias de patrimônio nacional e de patrimônio mundial, por meio de uma revisão bibliográfica sobre o tema. O objetivo é identificar os princípios ordenadores das retóricas que estabelecem a legitimidade da preservação patrimonial - seja nos discursos dos patrimônios nacionais, elaborados por diferentes Estados-nação, seja no discurso do patrimônio mundial, elaborado pela Unesco. Com base nesta revisão, destacamos dois argumentos que funcionam como verdadeiros topos e fundamentam ambas as formas de discurso patrimonial: a retórica holista, como conceituada por Joël Candau, e a retórica da perda, definida por José Reginaldo Gonçalves. Ao aproximar os aportes teóricos destes dois autores, apontaremos como os argumentos que fundamentam os discursos do patrimônio nacional são adaptados para a defesa do patrimônio mundial, indicando assim que as variações dos topos não comprometem a estabilidade de seus princípios.
